The Kelingking beach is located on the island of Nusa Penida in the middle of the sea, so you can only reach it by sea transportation. Can depart from Sanur Beach or Padang Bai in the eastern part of Bali Island. If from Sanur Beach, you can take a traditional public boat or called jukung at a cost of about Rp. 40.000 and taken for around 1.5 hours journey.
The journey to Kelingking beach takes about 45 minutes to 1 hour from the port of Nusa Penida and is about 25 km away. We advise you to leave before 8 am, because it is very crowded, and the waves are not too big in the morning. If you do not get a boat at 8 o’clock, there are also ships departing at the afternoon . Infrastructure in Nusa Penida has not been so perfect. Public transportation options on the island are also very limited. Therefore, when visiting this island you should rent a motor to be more flexible to reach various tourist destinations in Nusa Penida.
You may go down also , but we do not recommend you to go down, because the streets to go down are still very difficult and not very safe too .But if you want to go down, this trip takes 30 minutes – 1 hour and worth it.
